JUST IN: President Buhari makes five new appointments in one day

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, July 29, appointed five new heads of the strategic institutions in Nigeria, this is according to the Personal Assistant to Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.

Ahmad made the announcement via tweets on his Twitter handle moments ago.

According to the personal assistant, the new appointments are: the Centre for Disease Control, National Agency for the Control of Aids, the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and National Health Insurance Scheme.
The new appointees are:
NIMR – Prof Babatunde Salami
NACA – Dr Sani Aliyu
NHIS – Prof Usman Yusuf
NPHCDA – Prof Echezona Ezeanolue
CDC – Dr Chikwe Andreas Ihekweazu
